Why Choose Me?

My name is Abraham Delgado. I am from the lovely island of Puerto Rico. I am here to offer my translation services to all that need it. I was born in 1991 and my whole life has been between two languages: English and Spanish. This is part of daily life for millions of Puerto Ricans that have to switch constantly between both languages, especially if they live on the mainland. I have lived both in the United States and Puerto Rico, and I have traveled in Europe and Asia.

Education

I did my bachelor's and master's at the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras campus. My bachelor is in Literature in English and I graduated on 2014. My master's is in Translation and I graduated on 2018. My thesis was a partial translation of "Todos Somos Superbarrio" by Mauricio José-Schwarz, from Spanish to English. If there is an interest in this document, you can contact me and I'll send it for free.

I also have a Certification of Completion from The Washington Center, a D.C. internship experience where I worked at the office of Congressman Charles B. Rangel. I also have a certificate from the Student Conservation Association, where I worked as an intern for Sandy Hook National Park in New Jersey.

Experience

I have done translations for: the office of former Congressman Charles B. Rangel as an intern in Washingston D.C., Sandy Hook National Park in New Jersey, the International Basketball Federation, more commonly known by the French acronym FIBA (Fédération Internationale de Basketball), professors from the College of Education at the University of Puerto Rico, Abraham Rosa Credit Union in Toa Baja, some basic legal work, and many more.

My work has been varied and I have translated documents from professors and schools and which topics that range from sports, the education systems, and politics. I even helped in the translation of documents for credit unions and essays for students at the University of Puerto Rico Law School. My varied experience makes me a valuable candidate for anything you need.
